Dr. Carlos Hernandez opened Munster Smile Studio with a clear vision: to build a dental practice in Munster, Indiana where patients feel respected, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. He brings high-level training, modern technology, and a patient-first approach together in a way that makes a real difference for the families and individuals he treats.
Education and Training
Dr. Hernandez completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, a nationally recognized program with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence. He graduated in 2022 and has invested heavily in continuing education since, pursuing advanced training across a wide range of specialty areas.
Advanced Training and Areas of Focus
Dr. Hernandez has completed dedicated training in oral surgery and extractions, single unit and full arch dental implants, All-on-4 procedures, overdentures and snap-in dentures, cosmetic dentistry including porcelain veneers and full mouth makeovers, and Botox for dental and facial applications. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and ORCAA.

Dr. Hernandez is known for being approachable, energetic, and thorough. He explains treatment options in plain language, answers every question honestly, and always puts patient comfort first. His goal is not just to fix a problem but to help every patient understand their oral health and make informed decisions about their care.
He also understands that not every patient walks in feeling confident about the dentist, which is why he takes extra care to make each visit as relaxed and stress-free as possible. For patients who experience dental anxiety, sedation options are available to help.
Our Office and Team
Munster Smile Studio is a fully modernized dental practice equipped with digital X-rays, an intraoral scanner, laser dentistry, and in-house whitening technology. We are planning to add CBCT imaging as the practice continues to grow. Our team is warm, experienced, and committed to making every visit smooth from check-in to checkout.
We serve patients in Munster, Indiana as well as the surrounding communities of Highland, Griffith, Hammond, Schererville, Dyer, and St. John.
Our office is bilingual in English and Spanish.
